Boring is good

It's Saturday and Amelia is doing great. After having to go up on her vent pressure earlier in the week, she's had 3 good days in a row, and they went down on it today. She lost some of her extra fluid and was down to 5.0lbs last night; we figure she probably has another 1-2ozs of fake weight on her.

She had an eye exam on Thursday and the RoP is either equal to or less than it was last week; so that's a good report. Thursday-Friday she had another small tube down her throat to measure whether or not she has acid reflux. The acid reflux could be causing inflammation in her breathing tube making it more difficult for her. We will get the results of the test on Monday or Tuesday. Her secretions are down a lot, and her need to be suctioned out is much less.

Honestly, there isn't much else to report. She's had several good days in a row, and we're hoping she forgets what tomorrow is.
