This one is from the 9th. We thought maybe she'd suck on a preemie pacifier... alas, it was still a little too big.
Here is the newest picture of Amelia. I took this a few moments ago. She weighs a little over 3 lbs. right now, but she has a bit of fluid weight on her.

Dear Christina,
My how Miss Amelia has changed since last I saw her! She looks so filled out; sleeping so peacefully on her tummy. I want more than anything to be with you, to share in Amelia's daily growth, and soothe your worries. Soon, little bunny, very soon.
Then from the mouth's of babes comes the wisdom of ages. Children have a way of anchoring you to the real world with a simple gesture.
Thank you Miss Nykol, for making my daughter and son-in-law beam with pleasure when they got the card you sent them. With all the prayers like yours offered up for Amelia, we know she will continue to improve until the time when you can run next door to see her. Don't forget to include her in your nightly bedtime prayers--we will all be on our knees with you.
Love, Amelia's Grammy
Miss Amelia is just beautiful!!! Such a miracle for all to see! God has big plans for your little one.

I don't know if it's the camera or what, but Amelia's color looks so great in the 2nd photo & she looks just beautiful! I wish I could sleep that peacefully & look half as angelic while doing so! She's just a precious, precious little girl & I just can't wait to meet her! Such a blessing. Love all 3 of you!! Jessica
JG - It's the camera. The top pic is a camera phone without flash bulb and the second is a truer depiction of her beauty. Her color really is good.
Dear Christina,
It is so nerve wracking all the changes that happen so fast with these little ones, but it is because they are so small. We were pleased that Amelia now weighs 3 lbs. That is a great feat on its own. Each day will have it's ups and downs. The biggest thing is that she feels you there visiting with her and holding her when you can. Our Granddaughter Dallas, who weighed 1lb 12 oz at 26 weeks and was 14 inches long at birth still talks about seeing that man when she was in the isolette. Meaning she saw Jesus. Her weight dropped to 1lb 6oz before she started her uphill battle. But she is now 10, active tween. One of our most facinating things was watching her move her fingers and her actions that normally we would not of have the pleasure to see if she had still been in mommy. Know you are in our prayers and little Amelia will come home one day soon. It is 11:30 p.m. we let mommy sleep in and Jack is sitting here holding our newest miracle who came a month early because mommy was so sick. Our Granddaughter and her family live with us so we get to play every day. She weighed more but still stayed in ICU till she came home. God Bless Jack & Claudia Barrett Peaches friends from Engaged Encounter.
