Amelia Elizabeth was born on April 2, 2009 at 12:08 am. She finally made it home after a NICU stay of 335 days. We are so happy to finally be together as a family. Amelia has grown to be a very happy, joyful and social baby. We are thankful for all the people that worked together with Amelia to bring her home safely. Now the fun begins!

Eyes Wide Open
We are at the hospital with the baby right now. They are starting a second round of medication for her PDA. I called it an ADR in previous post. I can't keep all of this jargon straight. They are also in the middle of a blood transfusion. It takes 4 hours to do it. Also the nurse changed her diaper, but they said I could do it next time, all I had to do was ask! The nurse also turned off the billirubin light and took off her glasses we could look at her eyes. Todd and I each took a side of the incubator and placed our hands inside. We talked to her, put a finger in each of her hands and let her wrap her fingers around ours. We talked to her and she was looking over at us. We couldn't believe she did that when she haerd our voices. I wanted to see if she looks like me or him, but she is so little it is pretty hard to tell at this point.

How precious, listening to Mom and Dad. (Remind her of that when she hits those teenage years.)
