Not much to report. Seems like Amelia will be on CPAP of 5 for a while. She needs to breathe less rapidly and her oxygen requirement needs to get down into the 40s before they move her pressure down. They were pushing her because they wanted her to start learning how to feed from a bottle, but even if she was on cannula her rapid breathing would not allow this, so now they are backing off and slowing down.
The doctor believes that her growth is what will eventually get her off of her breathing assistance. She has been switched to a different kind of formula that is the type she will need when she goes home and is not a preemie formula. The preemie formula had some extra things in it that she no longer needs. She weighed in at 8 lbs. last night.
