Here is the Church, Here is the Steeple

Open up the doors, and here's all the people! We had a big turn out for Amelia and Clara's joint baptism. Aunts, uncle, grandparents, cousins, and friends of mine and their children were all in attendance. We had the ceremony at Saint Cecilia's where Todd and I got married 11 years ago. I love the church and the parish priest. It meant a lot to me to be able to baptize Amelia in the place where her namesake went to church every Sunday for years and years.


Amelia and Addie are following along in the Rite of Baptism book.



She's got that joy, joy, joy, joy down in her heart.

Dear Amelia,
Oh what a weekend we had! Made most special by your and cousin Clara Grace's Baptism. I hope you look back on these pictures one day and realize what love and affection was showered on you. So much love....and so MANY pictures. Mercy, there will be lots to choose from.

This weekend you also spent time with ALL your cousins, and as we all can see, you were, for the most part, happy as a clam. Grammy was proud of you and all your cousins. Can't wait till we're all together again. Love Grammy

Wow, just...wow. I'm somewhere between grinning ear-to-ear and having my breath taken away. What a milestone for this child who has been in my thoughts, prayers, and heart for so long now. Blessings on Amelia and her cousin Clara!
