Amelia's surgery has been bumped to Friday. They said it will be some time mid morning.
Today she was down to 3 3/4 liters and her oxygen was as a low as 30%. Steroids really work!
It was a busy day today. She had visits from PT, OT, music therapy, the chaplain, Grandmom and Aunt Marian. She has been happier, more awake and more interactive than she has been in a long while. She was full of smiles and had a good day visiting with friends and family.

Glad to hear the news! What does music therapy consist of? I am glad to hear your hospital provides that as I know studies have proven the health benefits for preemies!
Hope it all goes well and that this a huge step forward for her.
Know that the Carmelite Nuns in Lafayette, La are praying for Amelia as she undergoes her surgery tomorrow. You also have lots of prayers & love coming from Rayne, La. We may not have met Amelia yet, but Marian keeps us up to date & we are sending all the prayers we have for her and for both of you.
As a mother of 5 children, it saddens me to hear your plight. We take for granted the blessing of good health and normalness in our days. I am one of Marian's friends from Rayne, Christine LeBlanc, and my heart truly goes out to you and the whole family. Sweet Amelia is in my prayers now and as long as she needs!
The Garcias of Allen are thinking of all three of you. We wish her the best in her surgery tomorrow and we will keep praying that this is the final step in helpin her heal and bringing her home with you! :)
Love you all!
Joelle
