Does it seem weird that because she had the eye surgery that she is more focused, walks better, listens to what you say, and speaks more? It is amazing how much one sense impacts the others and how much it affects development. Since the surgery she has been once to occupational and speech therapy and school for two days. Her teachers and therapists have all had the same observations that she is so much more focused. For the first time she seemed interested in spending time at the computer station instead of cruising past it. She climbed up on the chair today and put the headphones on herself. The teacher snapped a picture of it before readjusting them for her.

She's likely no longer trying so hard to compensate for the vision problems, which had to take a lot of energy!
It is amazing how quickly successful surgery can have an impact; Ben always tilted his head a little because that was the only way he could control the hypertropia. If you held his head straight and looked at him directly, his left eye was a bit higher than the right. Immediately after surgery... no more head tilt.
So glad Amelia is doing so well.
