Our little miracle turned 4 on April 2! We were fortunate to have the Arensbergs, the Lormands (minus Uncle Ben slaving away over taxes), and my parents over for the week and then Todd's parents came over for dinner. We sang her happy birthday and we all had cake and ice cream. We told her to blow out the candle and she said "blow!" but it didn't really matter since it had already gone out when I moved the cake near her lips. She opened up her presents and did a pretty good job at ripping at the paper. There definitely was a theme as she now has two beautiful bathing suits for the summer. You can never have too many bathing suits when you spend as much time at the pool and the beach as we plan to do this summer.
Her birthday was a dress rehearsal for her big Dora birthday party on the following Saturday. She had her cousins, the neighbor boy, a boy from class, and a couple of my friend's kids come over and jump, eat pizza, play in bubbles, and color Dora color sheets --- and of course eat more cake and ice cream! As you can see, she had a great time!
