I Want Candy

We have really fallen off the wagon with patching Amelia because she rips the patch off about 15 seconds after we put it on. We tried putting socks on her hands the other day and it seems to work. Now we just have retrain ourselves to remember to start patching her again. This morning I caught her using her feet to play with her toys while she used her hands to balance herself.

We bought our Halloween candy yesterday. Amelia picked out a bag of M&Ms for herself. We hope there is some candy left when the neighbor kids come. She has quite a sweet tooth.

In other developmental news, Amelia rolled from her back to her tummy all by herself at therapy the other day. She also was able to go from laying on her back, to rolling on her side, to getting up into a sitting position. She is finally starting to be able to get in and out of different positions by herself.

I bought her several finger food puffs, mum mums and biter biscuits to try in addition to the Stage 2 foods we are feeding her. She immediately bit into the mum mum and started choking and gagging. I had to retrieve it with my fingers. It didn't get caught in her throat, she just didn't know what to do with it once it was in her mouth and it scared her. We had maybe a little better success with the biscuit and wagon wheel puff. She didn't bite into those, but licked it a little bit. She was over it in about 5 seconds and threw them down. So apparently we aren't into that yet.
