Amelia Elizabeth was born on April 2, 2009 at 12:08 am. She finally made it home after a NICU stay of 335 days. We are so happy to finally be together as a family. Amelia has grown to be a very happy, joyful and social baby. We are thankful for all the people that worked together with Amelia to bring her home safely. Now the fun begins!

Girl Power
Holding myself up in a crawl position.

Love watching her PT progress! Were the dog booties from a few posts ago your idea or the PTs? I am trying to come up with some strategies to get a few kids who WONT bear weight on their feet to start putting their feet on the ground. She looks fantastic! Kathy
The PT thought of it because with the straps and them coming up high on the leg she thought it might give her some extra support on the ankles...she decided it wasn't a good idea because the soles are round for doggy feet. They were just laying around the house. Amelia's feet are too small for the special shoes they make...that is what she told me anyway.
yeah she probably is too small still. And I wouldn't have even thought about the inside of those boots being rounded. Well if your PT comes up with any other fun ideas, pass them on! I have learned that in peds PT, the unconventional ideas tend to have the best effects.
