In order for Amelia to succeed in learning, she needs to become more focused. She is easily distracted by other things in the classroom. The teacher suggested her wearing this bonnet as a way to filter out things in her peripheral view. She only wears it when she is at the table attending to tasks. Her teacher reports that she seems to be concentrating on her work much better while wearing it. I love that her teacher is always thinking outside the box and trying out new things to help her.
