We spent New Year's Eve and New Years Day at the 4B ranch up in Fredericksburg. As usual Amelia enjoyed exploring the property, hiding in the clumps of trees, swinging in her swing, taking rides in the "mule", climbing up and down the stairs, playing with the dogs, etc. This time grandad set up the karaoke machine in the barn and we had a party for Aunt Joelle. Even some of the neighbors came down and sang. It was a lot of fun and the kids (who am I kidding? I) really got into it. There was plenty of room for dancing and Amelia and Ava especially were getting their boogie on.
Amelia also saw her first fireworks up close and she was pretty excited about that. She had a lot of fun with her older cousins. They always take her under their wing and show her a good time when they are together.

Now we are back home and trying to get things back to normal after our extended merry making. There are lots of exciting goals we have for Amelia this year. Todd took down her crib today, so she will have to sleep in her bed. I am going to attempt to nudge her closer to potty training. She is going to be starting school 5 days a week in April. She will also start private speech therapy then as well. We have also made big strides towards weaning her off the g-tube over the holidays as well. I will write more about all of these things later, but for now the Banker family wishes you a Happy New Year. May your 2012 be happy and healthy!
